Sarthak Bhasin is a Film Direction and Screenwriting graduate from the Film & Television Institute of India (FTII, Pune). He pursued his graduation in Economics from Delhi University and his post-graduation in Mass Communication from Jamia Millia Islamia. A consistent merit holder at FTII, Sarthak was awarded a scholarship to study for a semester at the prestigious FAMU, Prague (Czech Republic). Sarthak also briefly studied at the Internationale FilmSchule (IFS Köln), Germany.

Sarthak's student films at FTII have been showcased at various Film Festivals in India & Abroad. His FTII diploma film “EKAANT” was awarded the Best Short Fiction Film Award at the Tbilisi International Student Film Festival- Amirani, Georgia in 2018 & the Special Jury Award (Rajat Kamal) for its Art Direction at the 66th National Film Awards of India. 

Sarthak’s exposure to films began at an early age. As a teenager, he acted in Hindi Feature Films “Mp3” (2007) and “Aagey Se Right” (2009), essaying major characters in both.
